Untitled Photograph
Photograph
This was an assignment: Photograph in the style of our previously determined artist, per our previous assignment. The artist was chosen previous to our knowledge that we would be reproducing their aesthetics.
This photo depicts a closeup of delapidated public infrastructure at such an extreme perspective that it is unrecognizable. This is done in the style of Aaron Siskind. I adjusted the angle of the camera to remove as much depth as I could from the composition. The F-Stop, the shutter speed, and the ISO are adjusted to take in as much of the texture as possible, while still preserving the metallic sheen. The composition relies on the contrast of the texture of the chipping paint on exposed metal, and the solid, geometric shapes that remain largely unweathered.
