Jennifer Lewter for House of Representatives (2026)
Adobe Illustrator
This design was created for a paying client.
The client needed the script to become a recognizable identity while retaining readability and legibility. The candidate is by no means extreme, and expressed how they were based in their study of space and botany. I chose legible and readable seriffed body fonts over display fonts, to retain accessibility and to better represent the client's voterbase (Arkansans).
The star motif was specifically requested by the client. The "r" at the end of "Jennifer" suggests the form of an apple, again representative of her study of botany and agricultural science in Arkansas. The color scheme was inspired partially by Chris Jones' campaign; his is blue with orange accents. While Chris Jones' suggests self sufficiency, Jennifer's is nearly a triad, and works well in a red environment, like Arkansas' metaphorically "red" political landscape. Realistically, this design was intended to be used for yard signs, primarily, so it would more likely be adjacent to green grass or bushes. This also works well, as it forms an analogous color scheme instead, and does so with plant life (doubly effective for the learned botanist candidate).
