Coversol
Printed design on paper, on found objects
This project was an assignment: Design paint packaging for the given objects, on provided nets.
"Coversol," suggests a chemical agent, somehow reliant on a solvent, which paint certainly is. Coversol additionally sounds like the phrase "covers all." I chose coveralls as part of its logo, keeping congruence among my near-homophone idea. The logo can thus be described as, "the Coversol coveralls that cover all." Surely such a product could solve your problems, consumer!
The design work is reliant on the coverall motif, repeating the blue-white striped pattern, and containing text in pocket-shaped containers, complete with stitching. Because of the nature of the product, legibility was my highest priority, and readability was rather unimportant. What I did do for readability' sake, is bold the beginnings of parts in the text, to make it more navigable in brevity. Most of my layout decisions were influenced by my experience selling paint for Lowe's. I often thought to myself:
